2 ⲉⲃⲏⲗ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ϣⲟⲡ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ⲙⲁⲣⲉ ⲡⲓⲓⲥⲣⲁⲏⲗ ϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲉⲃⲏⲗ ϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ϣⲟⲡ ⲛϧⲏⲧⲉⲛ ϧⲉⲛⲡϫⲓⲛⲧⲟⲩⲧⲱⲟⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲉϫⲱⲛ ⲛϫⲉϩⲁⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲟⲙⲕⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲛⲟⲛϧ

If it had not been that the Lord was among us, let Israel now say;

3 ϧⲉⲛⲡϫⲓⲛⲑⲣⲉϥϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲟⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲛ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲁϥⲛⲁⲟⲙⲥⲧⲉⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ

if it had not been that the Lord was among us, when men rose up against us;

4 ⲧⲉⲛⲩⲭⲏ ⲁⲥⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲛⲥⲱⲣⲉⲙ ϩⲁⲣⲁ ⲁⲥⲥⲓⲛⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲧⲉⲛⲩⲭⲏ ⲙⲡⲓⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲧϣⲉⲛ ⲁⲩⲣⲏϫϥ

verily they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us:

5 ϥⲥⲙⲁⲣⲱⲟⲩⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲉⲙⲡⲉϥⲧⲏⲓⲧⲉⲛ ⲉⲧϫⲟⲣϫⲥ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲛⲁϫϩⲓ

verily the water would have drowned us, our soul would have gone under the torrent.

6 ⲧⲉⲛⲩⲭⲏ ⲁⲥⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲟⲩϭⲁϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲓⲫⲁϣ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲓⲣⲉϥϫⲱⲣϫ

Yea, our soul would have gone under the overwhelming water.

7 ⲡⲓⲫⲁϣ ⲁϥϧⲟⲙϧⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲛⲟⲛ ⲁⲛⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲧⲉⲛⲃⲟⲏⲑⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲫⲣⲁⲛ ⲙⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲫⲏ ⲉⲧⲁϥⲑⲁⲙⲓⲟ ⲛⲧⲫⲉ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲕⲁϩⲓ

Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us for a prey to their teeth.
