1 ⲛⲧⲉⲇⲁⲩⲓⲇ ⲉⲩⲕⲁϯ ⲉⲡϫⲱⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛϩⲱⲥ

2 ϭⲓⲥⲙⲏ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲧⲁⲡⲣⲟⲥⲉⲩⲭⲏ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲉⲣϩⲓⲡϩⲟ ⲙⲡⲁⲧⲱⲃϩ: ⲙⲁϩⲑⲏⲕ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

Hearken, O God, to my prayer; and disregard not my supplication.

3 ⲁⲓⲉⲣⲙⲕⲁϩ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁϫⲓⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲧⲥⲙⲏ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲁϫⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲡϩⲟϫϩⲉϫ ⲛⲟⲩⲣⲉϥⲉⲣⲛⲟⲃⲓ .

Attend to me, and hearken to me: I was grieved in my meditation, and troubled;

4 ϫⲉⲁⲩⲣⲓⲕⲓ ⲉϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ ⲛⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲁⲩⲙⲃⲟⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

because of the voice of the enemy, and because of the oppression of the sinner: for they brought iniquity against me, and were wrathfully angry with me.

5 ⲁ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ ⲁϥϣⲑⲟⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲛϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲛϧⲏⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ⲛⲧⲉⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲡⲉⲧⲁⲥⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ . ⲟⲩϩⲟϯ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲑⲉⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲁⲩⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲟⲩⲭⲁⲕⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥϩⲟⲃⲥⲧ .

My heart was troubled within me; and the fear of death fell upon me.

6 ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϫⲟⲥ ϫⲉⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲑⲛⲁϣϯ ⲛⲏⲓ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲧⲉⲛϩ ⲙⲫⲣⲏϯ ⲛⲛⲁ ⲟⲩϭⲣⲟⲙⲡⲓ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲧⲁϩⲁⲗⲁⲓ ⲛⲧⲁⲉⲙⲧⲟⲛ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ .

Fear and trembling came upon me, and darkness covered me.

7 ϩⲏⲡⲡⲉ ⲁⲓⲟⲩⲉⲓ ⲉⲓⲫⲏⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲓϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲓⲡϣⲁϥⲉ: ⲛⲁⲓϫⲟⲩϣⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲙⲫⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁⲛⲁϩⲙⲉⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲕⲟⲩϫⲓ ⲛϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲥⲁⲣⲁⲑⲏⲟⲩ .

And I said, O that I had wings as those of a dove! then would I flee away, and be at rest.

8 ⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲉⲕⲉⲟⲙⲥⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲕⲉⲫⲱⲣϫ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲗⲁⲥ: ϫⲉⲁⲓⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲁⲛⲧⲓⲗⲟⲅⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲁⲓⲃⲁⲕⲓ ⲙⲡⲓⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉⲙⲡⲓⲉϫⲱⲣϩ: ⲉⲩⲕⲱϯ ⲉⲣⲟⲥ ϩⲓϫⲉⲛⲛⲉⲥⲥⲉⲃⲑⲁⲓⲟⲩ .

Lo! I have fled afar off, and lodged in the wilderness. Pause.

9 ⲟⲩⲁⲛⲟⲙⲓⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲁⲇⲓⲕⲓⲁ ϧⲉⲛⲧⲉⲥⲙⲏϯ .

I waited for him that should deliver me from distress of spirit and tempest.

10 ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲙⲟⲩⲛⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲉⲥⲡⲗⲁⲧⲓⲁ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩϧⲓⲥⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲟⲩⲭⲣⲟϥ .

Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen iniquity and gain saying in the city.

11 ϫⲉⲉⲛⲉ ⲟⲩϫⲁϫⲓ ⲡⲉⲧⲁϥϯϣⲱϣ ⲛⲏⲓ: ⲛⲁⲓⲛⲁϥⲁⲓ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ ⲡⲉ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲛⲉ ⲡⲉⲑⲙⲟⲥϯ ⲙⲙⲟⲓ ⲁϥϫⲱ ⲛϩⲁⲛⲛⲓϣϯ ⲛⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲓ: ⲛⲁⲓⲛⲁⲭⲟⲡⲧ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲣⲟϥ .

Day and night he shall go round about it upon its walls: iniquity and sorrow and unrighteousness are in the midst of it;

12 ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲫⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲉⲧϣⲏϣ ⲛⲉⲙⲧⲁ\'ⲩⲭⲏ ⲡⲁϩⲏⲅⲉⲙⲱⲛ: ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϯⲥⲱⲟⲩⲛ ⲙⲙⲟϥ ⲁⲕϣⲱⲡⲓ ϩⲓⲟⲩⲙⲁ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ .

and usury and craft have not failed from its streets.

13 ⲁⲕⲑⲣⲉ ϩⲁⲛϧⲣⲏⲟⲩⲓ ϩⲟⲗϫ ⲛⲧⲟⲧ: ⲁⲛⲙⲟϣⲓ ϧⲉⲛⲡⲏⲓ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲏⲧ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ .

For if an enemy had reproached me, I would have endured it; and if one who hated me had spoken vauntingly against me, I would have hid myself from him.

14 ⲙⲁⲣⲉϥⲓ ⲛϫⲉⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⲉϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲁⲣⲟⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲉϩⲣⲏⲓ ⲉⲁⲙⲉⲛϯ ⲉⲩⲟⲛϧ ϫⲉⲟⲩⲟⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲡⲉⲧϩⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛⲛⲟⲩⲙⲁⲛϫⲱⲓⲗⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϧⲉⲛⲧⲟⲩⲙⲏϯ .

But thou, O man like minded, my guide, and my acquaintance,

15 ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲱϣ ⲉⲡⲱϣⲓ ϩⲁⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁ ⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

who in companionship with me sweetened our food: we walked in the house of God in concord.

16 ⲣⲟⲩϩⲓ ⲛⲉⲙϣⲱⲣⲡ ⲛⲉⲙⲙⲉⲣⲓ: ϯⲛⲁⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉⲓⲉϫⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲉⲧⲁⲥⲙⲏ ⲛⲧⲁ\'ⲩⲭⲏ ϧⲉⲛⲟⲩϩⲓⲣⲏⲛⲏ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲛⲏⲉⲧϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲓ .

Let death come upon them, and let them go down alive into Hades, for iniquity is in their dwellings, in the midst of them.

17 ϫⲉⲛⲁ\'ⲩⲭⲏ ⲛⲉⲙⲏⲓ ⲡⲉ ϧⲉⲛϩⲁⲛⲙⲏϣ: ⲉϥⲉⲥⲱⲧⲉⲙ ⲛϫⲉⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉϥⲉⲑⲉⲃⲓⲱⲟⲩ ⲛϫⲉⲫⲏⲉⲧϣⲟⲡ ϧⲁϫⲱⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲓⲉⲛⲉϩ ϥϣⲟⲡ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲟⲩϯϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ϧⲁⲧϩⲏ ⲙⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ .

I cried to God, and the Lord hearkened to me.

18 ⲁϥⲥⲟⲩⲧⲉⲛ ⲧⲉϥϫⲓϫ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲡϫⲓⲛϯϣⲉⲃⲓⲱ: ⲁⲩⲥⲱϥ ⲛⲧⲉϥⲇⲓⲁⲑⲏⲕⲏ: ⲁⲩⲫⲱϣ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲁⲡϫⲱⲛⲧ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲉϥϩⲟ .

Evening, and morning, and at noon I will declare and make known my wants: and he shall hear my voice.

19 ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϧⲱⲛⲧ ⲛϫⲉⲡⲉϥϩⲏⲧ: ⲁⲩϭⲛⲟⲛ ⲛϫⲉⲛⲉϥⲥⲁϫⲓ ⲉϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲉϩ . ⲛⲑⲱⲟⲩ ϩⲁⲛⲥⲟⲑⲛⲉϥ ⲛⲉ .

He shall deliver my soul in peace from them that draw nigh to me: for they were with me in many cases.

20 ϩⲓⲛⲉⲕⲣⲱⲟⲩϣ ⲉⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲉϥⲉϣⲁⲛⲟⲩϣⲕ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲛⲉϥϯ ⲛⲟⲩⲕⲓⲙ ⲙⲡⲓⲑⲙⲏⲓ ϣⲁⲉⲛⲉϩ .

God shall hear, and bring them low, even he that has existed from eternity. Pause. For they suffer no reverse, and therefore they have not feared God.

21 ⲛⲑⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲫⲛⲟⲩϯ ⲉⲕⲉϭⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⲉϧⲣⲏⲓ ⲉⲟⲩϣⲱϯ ⲛⲧⲉⲡⲧⲁⲕⲟ ϩⲁⲛⲣⲱⲙⲓ ⲛⲥⲛⲟϥ ϩⲓⲭⲣⲟϥ ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲉⲣⲧⲫⲁϣⲓ ⲛⲧⲉⲛⲟⲩⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ: ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲇⲉ ⲁⲓⲉⲣϩⲉⲗⲡⲓⲥ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ⲡϭⲟⲓⲥ .

He has reached forth his hand for retribution; they have profaned his covenant.
