1 ⲁⲩϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓⲛϩⲗⲗⲟ

The elders said,

2 ϫⲉⲕⲁⲛ ⲛⲁⲙⲉ . ⲉⲣϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲱⲛⲁϩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ

“Even if an angel truly appears to you,

3 ⲙⲡⲣϣⲟⲣⲡϥ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ·

do not receive him,

4 ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲑⲃⲃⲓⲟⲕ ⲛⲅϫⲟⲟⲥ

but humble yourself and say,

5 ϫⲉ ⲛϯⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲁⲛ ⲉⲛⲁⲩ ⲉⲡⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ . ⲁⲓⲱⲛϩ ϩⲛ ⲛⲛⲟⲃⲉ · .

I am not worthy to see the angel, as I have lived in sin.'”
