1 ⲁⲡⲇⲓⲁⲃⲟⲗⲟⲥ ϣⲃⲧϥ ϩⲛⲟⲩⲥⲭⲏⲙⲁ ⲛⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲟⲥ ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲟⲉⲓⲛ
The devil changed into an image of an angel of the light.
2 ⲁϥⲟⲩⲱⲛⲁϩ ⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ ⲁⲩⲱ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲁϥ ϫⲉ
He appeared to one of the brothers and said to him,
3 ⲁⲛⲅ ⲡⲉ ⲅⲁⲃⲣⲓⲏⲗ ⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲧ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲕ
“I am Gabriel, who was sent to you”
4 ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲁϥ
But he said to him,
5 ϫⲉⲁⲛⲁⲩ ϫⲉⲛⲧⲁⲩⲧⲛⲛⲟⲟⲩⲕ ϣⲁⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲛⲛⲉⲥⲛⲏⲩ
“Look, you were sent to another of the brothers,
6 ⲁⲛⲟⲕ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛϯⲙⲡϣⲁ ⲁⲛ
for I am not worthy.”
7 ⲛⲧⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲛⲧⲉⲩⲛⲟⲩ ⲁϥⲣⲁⲧⲟⲩⲱⲛϩ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ
And he immediately disappeared.
