1 ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓⲁⲡⲁ ϩⲱⲣⲥⲓⲏⲥⲓ . ϫⲉⲟⲩⲧⲱⲱⲃⲉ ⲛⲟⲙⲉ ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲛⲟϫⲥ ⲉⲩⲥⲛⲧⲉ ϩⲁⲧⲙⲡⲓⲉⲣⲟ . ⲛⲥⲛⲁϩⲩⲡⲟⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲁⲛ ⲛⲟⲩϩⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ .

Apa Orsisius said, 'A mud brick that is laid as a foundation by the river will not last a single day.

2 ⲧⲉⲧⲉⲣⲡⲟⲥⲉ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲩⲛ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲛⲧϩⲉ ⲙⲡⲱⲛⲉ .

But the one that has been baked endures like a rock.

3 ⲧⲁⲓ ⲧⲉ ⲧϩⲉ ⲙⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲉⲟⲩⲛⲧⲁϥ ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲙⲡⲉϥⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲙⲙⲛⲧⲕⲱⲥⲙⲓⲕⲟⲛ . ⲛϥⲡⲟⲥⲉ ⲁⲛ ϩⲛⲧϩⲟⲧⲉ ⲙⲡⲛⲟⲩⲧⲉ .

4 ⲉϥϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲉϩⲣⲁⲓ ⲉⲩⲙⲛⲧⲛⲟϭ ϣⲁϥⲃⲱⲗ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ .

If he comes upon greatness, he dissolves.

5 ϩⲁϩ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲛⲉ ⲙⲡⲉⲓⲣⲁⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲛⲛⲁⲧⲉⲓⲙⲓⲛⲉ ⲙⲁⲗⲓⲥⲧⲁ ⲉⲩϣⲟⲟⲡ ϩⲛⲧⲙⲏⲧⲉ ⲛⲛⲣⲱⲙⲉ .

For there are many trials, mostly of this kind, that happen in the midst of men

6 ⲛⲁⲛⲟⲩⲥ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲧⲣⲉⲡⲣⲱⲙⲉ ⲥⲟⲩⲛⲡⲉϥϣⲓ ⲙⲙⲓⲛⲙⲙⲟϥ . ⲉⲧⲣⲉϥⲡⲱⲧ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲙⲡⲉϩⲣⲟϣ ⲛⲧⲙⲛⲧⲛⲟϭ

But it is good that a man know his mesaure, and avoid the burden of greatness.

7 ⲛⲉⲧⲧⲁϫⲣⲏⲩ ⲇⲉ ϩⲓⲧⲛⲧⲡⲓⲥⲧⲓⲥ ϩⲉⲛⲁⲧⲕⲓⲙ ⲉⲣⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲉ .

The things which are strenghtened in faith are unshakeable.'
