1 ⲁϥϫⲟⲟⲥ ⲛϭⲓⲁⲡⲁ ⲇⲁⲛⲓⲏⲗ .

'However much the body grows,

3 ⲧⲉⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲱⲱⲥ ϣⲁⲥϭⲃⲃⲉ .

the soul weakens.

4 ⲁⲩⲱ ⲛϩⲱⲥⲟⲛ ⲡⲥⲱⲙⲁ ϭⲃⲃⲉ .

And however much the body weakens,

5 ⲧⲉⲯⲩⲭⲏ ϩⲱⲱⲥ ϯⲟⲩⲱ .

the soul grows.'
