'Behold, you heard concerning two brothers
12 ϫⲉⲡⲟⲩⲁ ⲙⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ · ⲁⲩⲱ ϥϯⲉⲟⲟⲩ ⲛⲁⲕ ⲻ
that one loves you and glorifies you,
13 ⲡⲕⲉⲟⲩⲁ ⲇⲉ ⲙⲟⲥⲧⲉ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ ⲁⲩⲱ ϥⲕⲁⲧⲁⲗⲁⲗⲉⲓ ⲙⲙⲟⲕ .
while the other one hates you and slanders you.
14 ⲉⲩϣⲁⲛⲉⲓ ⲇⲉ ϣⲁⲣⲟⲕ ⲕⲛⲁϣⲟⲡⲟⲩ ⲉⲣⲟⲕ ϩⲙⲡⲉⲓⲙⲉⲉⲩⲉ ⲛⲟⲩⲱⲧ ⲙⲡⲉⲥⲛⲁⲩ .
If they come to you, will you receive them with this thought as the same?'
15 ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ϫⲉⲙⲙⲟⲛ ·
He said, 'No.
16 ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ϯⲛⲁⲡⲟⲗⲩⲙⲉⲓ ⲙⲛⲡⲁϩⲏⲧ
But I will wrestle with my heart

Abba Abraham said to him, 'Thus, therefore, the passions are alive,
19 ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲉⲩⲙⲏⲣ ⲛⲧⲟⲟⲧⲟⲩ ⲛⲛⲉⲧⲟⲩⲁⲁⲃ ⲻ
but they are bound by the holy ones.'
